It is a typical feature of any monastic reality to have no particular activity to the exclusion of others. The monastery takes on itself any activity, suitable for its situation or imposed by its necessities. So we may find Carmelite monasteries where embroidery is practised or icons are painted, other monasteries that nurtures arts or dedicate themselves to agriculture or animal farming or others that attend to the manufacture of napery or to philatelical works. No activity is unknown to a Carmelite monastery, as long as it is compatible with the life in community and the celebration of Liturgy. This freedom of choice of the work expresses the possibility of conforming to any time and place.

The community shares its own economic resources aiming a yearly part of the community accounts to the support of promotional plans and in favour of needy people

Weekly commentary to the Word of God

Once a week the community prepares a spiritual commentary to the dominical Word of God: for adults: "particles", for children: "the Gospel of the youngs". Everything is at disposal of parishes, groups and individuals. You only have to subscribe to yahoo party: "Word of Sunday" or send your e-mail to the monstery.

Who wants to receive yearly the carmelite calendar and the communications about the monastic brotherhood may send its address.

The Workshop of the Monastery

It is the point of sale in Savona, Via del Duomo 25, where it is possible to buy handmade articles:

byzantine-type icons, candels, floral arrangements (dried flowers), skirts and ponchos, scarfs and shawls, bags, rosary beads, wood or ceramic dust holy items, boxes with découpage, perfumed soaps, leather sandals or objects... on demand, also invitations and bonbonnières.

The Workshop of the Monastery is also on-line in order to give to everyone the possibility of shopping, also from your house.

Every action, also the amateur one, has its aim, one or even more "missions" against a blackcloth of short- and long-term goals. We can say it very openly: we are beings who make plans because we think and love...!!! We do not make anything randomly but beyond a repeated acting, that has his aim as well, we are beings who tend to something that we recognize as a good for us, and for this reason, lovely and pleasant...

Inside the professional breeding, this implies not only the acquisition of skills that enable to optimize the engagement, but also the care of the purpose for which you breed: it allows the life to go by at the height, favouring the possibility of protecting the health, the character and the peculiarity of a breed that still maintains unchanging the breath of its originality!

This is our idea of professional breeding, that picks out, among outstanding subjects, the climax for further reproduction. The capability to distinguish if a kitty has all the features necessary to the raising of the standard of a breed, or if it is better to let it be a splendid pet, is peculiar of those who breed in obedience to the dignity of the nature.

What happens when the man does not act in accordance with his dignity and in obedience to the creation? More than history chapters, he writes news... crime news, gossip news, news, nothing but news...
